I've been naughty

A few weeks ago we went out to a hotel with friends and I decided to have a glass of "Baileys". It cost an absolute fortune and only just covered the bottom of the glass, so it was hardly a taste. Last week we went to the bottle shop to buy some wine and I saw a gift box with a bottle of Baileys and two nice glasses on special. Well, as we know, I can't resist "free" offers so I bought it. I thought it would be nice to have a glass occasionally, as I do really like it. I usually have a glass or two of red wine with my evening meal most nights. The bottle of Baileys is finished already!!!!!! A taste occasionally turned into two glasses every night (after the red wine) for a week! I wonder how long it will be before that shows on my scales? It hasn't yet, but surely I am stretching my luck a bit! Another thing to put on my list of never buying again!

That, combined with the light mars bars slice which I have finally made and is delicious, is a bit too naughty!

Baileys would be my all time favourite cold weather drink. But the size I normally pour for myself is about 5 drinks. And I just can't justify the points. Like you, this is a danger item I keep out of the house.

Hope you have a lovely cold sunny day today. :)

I am the same! Damn bailieys! So more-ish. If I do have it in the house now I will add a teaspoon to my coffee or hot choc for extra taste. I tend to abuse it on its own - and yea, it is never a nip, more like a bakers dozen!

I would be the same! Hard to stop at a glass!! It's even nicer mixed with Cointreau. We have it in the house BUT way back in the cupboard so I forget about it!

RYN: LOL I have lots of freebies from my time working in surgeries too. I used to have this great Viagra clock

OMG Suzy, I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I bought the mini bottles thinking it would be better points wise. I drank the whole three bottles and and it cost me 20 points!

oh me, oh my! I'm in the same situation, too! My sister came over from Aussie and left me with a parting gift: a huge bottle of Baileys. It's in the fridge, and so far I've managed to ration it... but it is very hard, as I don't have just the usual nip (30 mls) but more like three times that!! : )

I love Baileys, and can't have it in the house because it disappears quicker than chocolate bars (I avoid having them around too, lol). The best Baileys I ever had was a homemade one... or rather... 2 x 1 litre bottles of a homemade one between 3 people in just under 2 hours. It's one of the few drinks that I can't stop before the bottle is empty.

Yep I'm another one who loves Baileys.

I usually drink mine in a large wine glass with ice. And the glass has to be FULL!

I usually only drink it as a treat at Christmas now, normally first thing in the morning while I'm preparing lunch....yummy!

Has anyone tried the Baileys fudge?

That also works for the butterscotch scnapps.( baileys and butterscotch makes cowboys-really yum!)

What a great idea Suzy. Why don't we organise a get together?

We'd have to decide which state to have it in first though.

I'd love to meet all my new virtual friends.
