Ten years younger

I have been watching "Ten Years Younger", a show on UK TV. I'm sorry, but there is no way I would go through some of the things that those people do to look younger! Face peels, eyebrow lifts, nose straightening! Yes, they do look good at the end of the procedures, but they go through agony to get there.

Whatever happened to aging gracefully? Surely a few wrinkles shouldn't mean the end of attractiveness? Too bad if they do. I am not having mine cut away with a knife or injected away with Botox!

I agree with the others - I would rather just age naturally rather than go through all that pain for the sake of vanity !
Have a great week and take care !

I couldn't do it either. A lot of the Weight Watcher girls I sit with are talking about having the fat cut away when they loose the weight. I am not too sure if I can even do that even though it is not the same as changing the nose or having a breast increase or something.

I agree the moisturiser is the best thing leighanne he he.

You lovely lovely lady. Thank you so much. I have just seen the last post (as I haven't really been reading too much). I am so touched.

But back to the 10 years younger thing. I reckon I would do it. Bit of lipo here, bit of a tuck there, staple on something here, LOL - beautiful ! :)

How do I say this nicely? When you see some of the shows like Extreme Makeover, you can kind of understand WHY the contenstants put themselves through it when you see their BEFORE shots...

However there are limits, and for most of us there is nothing that a bit of TLC and moisturiser won't fix :-)

I would rather age gracefully also. And I must say, I see old ladies all the time (at work) with the most beautiful skin. They have aged lined (character filled) faces, but when I shower them, the rest of their skin is as soft and supple as mine... and that is because they have stayed out of the sun!! The ones who have sun baked ever, have wrinkly skin all over! (Maybe too much information? ) :-)

We have a beautiful day here today - that is one good thing with the Gold Coast - it is very seldom that there is more than one miserable day in a row !!!
Take care and have a great day.
Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave me - it is good to know that people are getting something out of my journal. Having said that, I would do it even if nobody was reading it because it has been instrumental in me getting as far as I have.
Cheers for now and be good !

Most people look weird after plastic surgery if you ask me - there is something not quite balanced about their face.

Personally, I'm relying on good genetics and a lot of sunscreen to help me age gracefully :)

The only thing I decided I wouldn't put up with aging gracefully is my hair, my whole family suffers from premature greyness and I couldn't stand being grey. The rest can age as nature wills it :)
