Burnie Ten

We have entered the Burnie Ten! DH has already run 13 Burnie Tens. This will be my first. I will be walking, but it should be fun. It is a very popular race in Tasmania.
  • Skilled Burnie Ten

  • I will try to walk faster than my last walk, but it may be difficult because there are thousands of people and it will take longer to get started. Anyway I will have a go.

We are going away for the week next week (DH is on holidays for 2 weeks) and we are taking our bikes with us so will go for lots of rides and lots of long walks. Will be eating and drinking lots but extra exercise should keep things on track (hopefully)!

Great news about the Burnie Ten. I knew you would want to do another! Good for you. Bad news about the virus. Such a waste of time and money jsut to amuse some weird person.

Good on you for registering for another walk - you must have caught the bug (sorry, terrible virus joke!!).

How come everyone is having holidays except me!??

I hate computer viruses - I had one a few months ago and lost everything!

You'll have to practice walking with the elbows out so you can push your way out of the crowd!

    Good luck with the walk.

btw. my family comes from NW Tassie :)

    Hi Suzy

You know the year is slipping away when you start seeing the "Build Up to the Burnie 10" on the ad breaks on Southern Cross!!

Congrats on deciding to go in it. I probably would have made the effort if I was still in Tassie!

Thank you for dropping by my blog the other day and for your kind comments. It's great to have started my blog at last - I've been looking at yours and heaps of others for months!

    Take care, talk again soon

Have a great time away - I am sure that with all the exercise you will be getting you will be fine with your food.
Start your time from when you actually cross the start line if there are that many people around - it is a truer reflection of your accomplishment.
Take care and have a great weekend !

Good on you for having a go and trust me you will surprise youself. I was so worried when I did the C2S that I wouldn't make it and I would make a fool of myself or that it would play absolute havoc with my body and I wouldn't be able to walk for days afterwards but none of that and I actually surprised myself doing it much less time than I thought I would. You can do and do it well!!!

Have a great time on your holidays. Your right taking those bikes for the extra exercise will surely make up for extra food and drinks. But relax and enjoy. Holidays don't happen that often so make the most of them. XX

Have a great week away and well done for entering the Burnie Ten. You will rock. And how exciting will it be with all those other people. Whooo hoooo.

P.S. Thanks for the tip about the virus. Ours had run out but I will do it tonight. I can't stand those people. They should concentrate on doing things to better themselves rather than infuriate other people.
