Patience!

I have been working very hard at the gym. I went 3 times this week and I have been doing lots of exercise for my tummy. I have been rowing and rowing and rowing. This is the 4th week at the gym but I am not noticing a smaller waist measurement yet. Guess I just have to stick at it and be patient and see what happens. It is frustrating though.I don't want to look like a body builder, I just want to get rid of the last tyre that is left.

I know - remind myself of the advice - slow and steady wins the race.

HAVE A HAPPY, RESTFUL WEEKEND EVERYONE!

ohh i love the gym! it is slow at first, but once you start shrinking around the waist (the rowing machine rocks for this!) you will definatly see a huge difference! if anything i bet you are feeling fantastic!!! The cross Trainer im using rocks, im having so much fun on it, trying to do at least 30-40 min on it a day, i loved using it at the gym, so when i was offered it to borrow i jumped at it! perfect to tone my big bum!!!!

Sounds like you are doing really well at the gym!
Congratulations on the waist getting smaller. Any suggestions on how to lose weight of the hips?

it will get smaller Suzy...just hang in there. It is also doing a lot of good for the parts of you you cannot see...blood pressure, etc

You know you'll just wake up one day and realise, damn...I look mighty fine! :-) Do you remember that defining moment when you actually realised, noticed you HAD lost all that weight!? It will happen. I hope you have a nice weekend too Suzy.

It's like that old shampoo commercial - it won't happen overnight, but it will happen :)

Maybe try some pilates as well - a class or a tape, if you don't do that already. It kicks the abs and is also good for your posture when doing other exercises (and just in general life as well).

Well done Slim Suzy
You're doing great. Can't give any advice about the gym as I haven't got that far yet.
All i can do is stand in awe of someone who has got to goal and is now refining.
Keep going it will be worth it you are true inspiration

I just had a look at your goals - as it lines up with the bottom of this post and this caught my eye "Try not to stress over trivial things". Whilst fine tuning is definitely not trivial, trying not too stress is probably quite good advice. You are doing really well and building some good core strength. The size drop will come :)

Hope you are having a lovely weekend

Suzy - you must be made of steel! I'll bet you can feel yourself getting stronger and more toned.

The drop in measurements and size will definitely come - hang in there and stay motivated. You're such an inspiration to us all :)

Yep, patience is the key! You will definitely get there!

Yes, patience. You will notice the differences soon enough! I didn't notice differences in my tummy until 6 weeks and not so much the measurement but the shape and firmness. I don't want to look like a body builder either. Just a bit of tome :-) Slow and steady!!
