I am knitting

My dear daughter has inspired me to start knitting before winter actually starts. She is so busy, works full-time, has three children and a DH and has still managed to knit a jumper, 2 bags, socks and hats in the last few weeks. I usually do knit during winter but last year only made scarves. Knitted 2 jumpers for me and one for DH the previous year and now mine are too big so I am knitting another for me at the moment. On nice days I can knit on my deck!!! (Nearly took the ironing out there to do yesterday, but talked myself out of it - didn't want to worry the passengers on the low-flying planes!)

Knitting (or crafts) is great for stopping the munchies too! Can't get sticky fingers on the knitting!

Woke up this morning and had to talk myself into going on the crosstrainer. As soon as I started though (with my MP3 music in my ears) I was so pleased that I was up and exercising.

HAVE A FUN WEEKEND EVERYONE!

I wish I knew how to knit. My nanna was the worlds greatest knitter (I bet everyone says that about their nanna though!!). When we cleaned out her closets when she passed away we found one remaining knitted baby set in white. It was put away especially for when I had my first baby and now that the day is drawing near I can't wait to put it on the little one. It will definately be taken to the hospital to bring the baby home in. XX

Good for you ..I started a few weeks ago and it definitely does stop the munchies. Then I got to busy working at night and have lost the urge. Thanks for reminding me.

I must take up knitting again..have made some nice jumpers in the past and good idea about it stopping the munchies too. I find sometimes with exercise esp with getting up early that I just have to up and do it not have time to think about it and yes once you are into it you feel great. Enjoy your weekend Suzie

Man, I wish I could knit. I will learn, one day. My mother is an incredible knitter. I wish I had her skill! I do cross stitch and silk ribbon embroidery (and these days scrapbooking too!) and yes, it definitely keeps the munchies away. Don't want to spill cake crumbs or get chocolate on the lovely thing you're making!

Have a great weekend!

I'm not a fan of knitting but like crochet but I just don't have the time. I also have about four cross stitch projects that I started about 3 years ago and haven't finished. Maybe I should do craft instead of blogging, actually I should probably exercise instead of blogging.
You have a great weekend too,
Bri

My nanna once taught me to knit and I have forgotten how now. Not even a basic stitch which upsets me because it was somethng she took the time to teach me about (when I was about 7) and now she is gone and I don't have that to hold onto. Would love to see your finished jumper.

The best I can do is knit scarves and only started that a couple of years ago when that 'feathers' and 'ostrich' wool became all the rage. So, good on you for tackling a whole jumper - love that olive colour too! LOL at nearly ironing on your deck!!!! Hope you are having a great weekend Suzy!
