What a horrible way to lose weight!

Yesterday my dear son had his four wisdom teeth extracted under anaesthetic. I spent the afternoon and evening with him and he is already so swollen and in so much pain. I feel so helpless that I can't do anything, except make him some pumpkin soup for when his appetite comes back. He is almost 29, but he is still my little boy and I hate to see him hurting.

Why do we have to have teeth?! They are nothing but trouble from the time they first break through!

Lol I agree about why do we have teeth! I guess we'd look pretty funny without them though, and it would be kinda hard to chew. I had 4 wisdom teeth out at once, on the same day as my sister. We have a great photo of us with icepacks tied under our chins - very funny!

Oh, I agree....I had one out earlier this year and it is still not healed fully. I looked after my boy when he had his out in the chair and he was about 28.
Next time I get a tooth ache I am just going to demand for it to be pulled when the appointment is made not have the dentist fill it without talking it over with me first and then charge me over $130 only for me to be in agony and have it pulled 2 weeks later and be charged $200.....dentists grrrrrr!!

Good on you for looking after your son. The wisdom teeth op is always a big one. Hope he feels better soon - which I am sure he will with all the yummy soups you will be feeding him.

Happy Mothers Day Suzy x

Know just how you feel. Went through the same thing with my son a couple of years ago but for some reason he had six wisdom teeth and we sent him to local private hospital as day patient and had them all out at once. It was heartbreaking as he was in a really bad way and I couldnt make him better - only time did. I agree teeth are really quite painful arent they but we would look really silly without them wouldnt we?
:o)

That would have to be one of the worst experiences. I hope he is feeling better soon and with yummo pumpkin soup to spur him on he'll be back to normal (or close to anyway) in no time at all! XX

I lived on KFC potato and gravy when I had my 4 out. I didn't have my mother to make me soup, she lived too far away. I remember I got down to 54 kilos after a week and everyone thought I had some horrible disease. I can't ever imagine being that weight now!! Yikes. Hope your poor DS feels much better soon. I'm sure he is already with you there for him.
Have a great week, what's left of it.
