S.A.D. (click here to read about it) - and some comfort food

View from my deck -Not even this rainbow could peep through the grey winter sky.

I am sure I suffer badly from S.A.D. Maybe I need brighter lights or maybe I just need to move to the Sunshine Coast!?!

For now I will try to keep busy and look forward to Spring and Summer. After all, they are only a matter of weeks away.

I made some yummy egg and bacon pies for lunch:

Low fat pastry sheets, one egg and one chopped lean bacon rasher and chopped parsley and pepper in each pie. Nothing like a pie and sauce and some homemade veggie soup with a sprinkle of parmesan to cheer up a cold, dark day.

Sunshine Coast, Queensland

Dear Son

Here is DS walking down to the water. DH and D.I.L. (to be) are in the background.

Part of the amazing scenery looking down from the back of the shops at Montville

DH and I on the beach at Noosa? All the beaches that we visited were beautiful. Gorgeous white sand and bright blue sea.

We spent six lovely nights staying with Dear Son and Dear D.I.L. (to be). Now I understand why he tells me that he lives in "paradise". I feel better about his new life now that I have experienced it for a while. He works six days a week mostly, but when he has days off, they make the most of it. We had a lovely time. We saw some gorgeous scenery and had very mild, nice weather for this time of the year.

My first blogger meeting

I have just returned from a quick trip to the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Before I went I arranged to meet Jenny (http://jeschi.blogspot.com/). She phoned me just after I arrived at the Brisbane airport and we arranged to meet a couple of days later. I was rather nervous and as I stood and waited I wondered whether we would know each other. We had joked about wearing a red carnation, but thought we would recognise each other. We needn't have worried. Not only did we know each other straight away, but it felt like we were old friends. Jenny is a lovely, friendly girl. We have been reading each other's blogs for over two years.

My DH took these photos of us after we had finished our hour or so of chatting and he had been having a wonderful time shopping for running gear.

Thankyou Jenny for taking the time to come and meet me. I enjoyed it very much and will look forward to keeping in touch and meeting again in the future.

More about my trip as soon as I get organised. Needless to say I am FREEZING here. We had lovely warm days while we were away. Coldish for the locals, but warm for us. I will post some pics as soon as I can.
